Dr. Low 1 Dr. Russel Low, MD Medical Director

 

Dr. Low is board certified in diagnostic radiology and specializes in body imaging. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, before obtaining a D.D.S. at the University of California, Los Angeles. He then went on to complete his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego, followed by his internship at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. There, he received the David Carroll Medical Intern of the Year Award. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and his fellowship training in MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Low is the Medical Director of Sharp and Children's MRI Center. He has been extensively published in radiology journals and has been awarded several research grants. Dr. Low is recognized as a leading expert on body MRI and is an invited speaker at many scientific presentations. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.

 

Dr. Panchal 1 Dr. Nick Panchal, MD Medical Co-Director

 

Dr. Panchal joined the physicians at San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2007. Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology, his area of expertise is in Musculoskeletal Imaging. He has a general interest in MR imaging and a special interest in sports-related injuries. Dr. Panchal completed his bachelor's degree and his M.D. from Ohio State University. He completed his internship in Indianapolis, IN at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services. Dr. Panchal completed his diagnostic radiology residency and Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship at University of California, San Diego Medical Center. Professional Memberships include: American Board of Radiology, American College of Radiology, American Roengten Ray Society, Radiological Society of North America, and San Diego Radiological Society.

 

Dr. Alzate

Dr. Alzate 1  Gregg D. Alzate, M.D.

Dr. Alzate is board certified in diagnostic radiology and is also certified with added qualifications in both vascular/interventional radiology and neuroradiology. Dr.Alzate is currently Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Dr. Alzate received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. After an internal medicine internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, he moved to San Diego where he completed his residency, including service as Chief Resident, at the University of California, San Diego. Dr.Alzate completed his fellowship in angiography and interventional radiology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). In 2005 and 2006, Dr. Alzate has been chosen by his peers as one of San Diego's Best Doctors.

Dr. Amberg

Dr. Amberg 1  John A. Amberg, M.D.

Dr. Amberg, board certified in diagnostic radiology, has a particular interest in pediatric radiology. Dr. Amberg practiced at University of California, San Diego and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at University of California, San Diego. Dr. Amberg obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis, and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. After his internship at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, he went on to UCSD to complete his residency. Dr. Amberg received his fellowship training in pediatric radiology at Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center, San Diego.

Dr. Bear

Dr. Bear 1  Howard M. Bear, M.D.

Dr. Bear is board certified in diagnostic radiology with added qualifications in neuroradiology. Dr. Bear graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in North Carolina. He completed his medical degree and an internal medicine internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His diagnostic radiology residency was completed at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Bear obtained fellowship training in neuroradiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Dr. Boles

Dr. Boles 1  Scott Boles, M.D.

Dr. Boles is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Boles completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego, and then went on to the University of Southern California School of Medicine to earn his medical degree. After his internship at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, he completed his residency at Duke University. His fellowship training in abdominal imaging was accomplished at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center.

Dr. Bower

Dr. Bower 1  Bruce L. Bower, M.D.

Dr. Bower is currently the Co-Medical Director for the Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion. He is board certified by both the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Internal Medicine. He has certified added qualifications in angiography and interventional radiology. His professional areas of specialty are in interventional radiology and cardiac imaging. Dr. Bower's education includes an undergraduate degree from Gannon University, and he earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and an internal medicine residency at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Bower's diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology were completed at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis.

Dr. Carey

Dr. Carey 1  Patrick H. Carey, M.D.

Dr. Carey is the current President/Chief Executive Officer of San Diego Imaging Medical Group (SDI). He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Radiology at UCSD's School of Medicine. Dr. Carey's educational background includes an undergraduate degree from University College of Dublin and a medical degree from the National University of Ireland. His internship was obtained at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda in Ireland. Dr. Carey completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Victoria Hospital, London in Ontario, Canada. He went on to Boston to complete his fellowship training in cardiovascular radiology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Subsequent to his medical education and training, Dr. Carey received his MBA at San Diego State University.

Dr. Carter

Dr. Carter 1  William D. Carter, M.D.

Dr. Carter is the Director of Nuclear Medicine and the Radiation Safety Officer at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He also serves as the medical director of San Diego Nuclear Imaging. Dr. Carter attended the Indiana University School of Medicine after graduating from Purdue University. He completed his internship at the University of South Florida and his residency and fellowship training at the University of Michigan. He joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 1982 after finishing his fellowship training. Dr. Carter is board certified with the American Board of Radiology and has exceptional competency in nuclear medicine and PET imaging. Dr. Carter is widely published in oncologic imaging. Since 1994, he has served as the designated central radiologist for multiple study protocols with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center of Sharp Healthcare and the Clinical Oncology Research Program.

Dr. Chen

Dr. Chen 1  Norman C. Chen, M.D.

Dr. Chen, board certified with the American Board of Radiology, has subspecialty expertise in body imaging. Dr. Chen practiced at Kaiser Permanente, San Diego. Dr. Chen completed his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. After his internship, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Diego, and fellowship training at Stanford University Medical Center.

Dr. Chuang

Dr. Chuang 1  Nathaniel A. Chuang, M.D.

Dr. Chuang is board certified with the American Board of Radiology with added qualifications in neuroradiology. Dr. Chuang graduated from Brown University with an undergraduate degree in biophysics. He obtained his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his internship and residency in diagnostic radiology, and fellowship training in neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Chuang also completed an additional fellowship in pediatric neuroradiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Dr. Cutts

Dr. Cutts 1  Shanoe Cutts, M.D.

Dr. Cutts joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2006. He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Cutts' areas of expertise include neuroradiology and neurointerventional spine procedures. Dr. Cutts received his bachelor's degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He earned his medical degree at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and completed a transitional internship at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Following completion of his residency at Cedars Sinai and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he received his fellowship training in neuroradiology at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Dente

Dr. Dente 1  John J. Dente, M.D.

Dr. Dente, board certified with the American Board of Radiology, has subspecialty expertise in interventional radiology. He joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2003 and predominantly works at Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. Dr. Dente obtained a bachelor's degree in biology from Adelphi University and his medical degree from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He completed both general surgery and diagnostic radiology residency programs at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and during his training he received the distinct honor of Outstanding Senior Radiology Resident. He went on to complete his fellowship in interventional radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Dory

Dr. Dory 1  Christopher Dory, M.D.

Dr. Dory joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in June 2006. He had previously practiced at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters' in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as Chief of Radiology and at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters' he was voted teacher of the year. His expertise includes pediatric interventional radiology, musculoskeletal imaging, and pediatric neuroimaging. Dr. Dory graduated with honors from the U.S. Naval Academy and subsequently served as a surface warfare officer before attending medical school. He completed medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine. His internship was at Mercy Hospital in San Diego and residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Diego. He served as chief resident while at the University of California, San Diego. His fellowship in pediatric radiology was at the University of California, San Diego, and Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology from the American Board of Radiology and holds a certificate of additional qualification in pediatric radiology.

Dr. Dwek

Dr. Dwek 1  Jerry R. Dwek, M.D.

Dr. Dwek joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2002.  He is Board Certified with both the American Board of Radiology, with Added Qualifications in Pediatric Radiology, and the American Board of Pediatrics.  He graduated with a bachelor's degree from New York University and earned his M.D. from S.U.N.Y. at Downstate Medical Center.  Dr. Dwek went on to complete his internship and both pediatric and radiology residencies at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.  He then completed his hellowship training in Pediatric Radiology at Children's Hospital in Boston as well as a second fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of California, San Diego.  Dr. Dwek practices primarily at Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center in San Diego.  He serves as Chief of Pediatric MRI at Sharp and Children's MRI Center, LLC.  He has lectured both nationally and internationally at numerous medical conferences, received awards for his published articles, and has volunteered his professional services internationally.  Dr. Dwek is a member of the International Skeletal Society.

 

Dr. Evora

Dr. Evora 1  Darryl Evora, M.D.

Dr. Evora practiced at Kaiser Permanente, San Diego, and Children's Hospital of Orange County. He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology, with added qualifications in pediatric radiology. Dr. Evora received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego. He completed his medical degree and internship at University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. Following his residency at UCSD, he received his fellowship training in pediatric radiology at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Flynn

Dr. Flynn 1  Robert P. Flynn, M.D.

Dr. Flynn is board certified with the American Board of Radiology and his subspecialty expertise is interventional radiology. Dr. Flynn's educational background includes undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated at the top of his medical school class. He stayed on at UCLA for his internship and then moved to the University of California, San Francisco UCSF), for his residency in radiology. He served as Chief Resident at UCSF. Dr. Flynn completed his fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at the Miami Vascular Institute at Baptist Hospital in Florida.

Dr. Goldberger

Dr. Goldberger is currently the Co-Medical Director of the Imaging Center at Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion. His professional area of interest and expertise is women's imaging. Dr. Goldberger is board certified in diagnostic radiology with the American Board of Radiology. He joined San Diego Imaging in 1982 and served as SDI's President for over 15 years. Dr. Goldberger is a Board Member of Sharp Community Medical Group, Sharp Memorial Hospital, and the San Diego Hospital Association. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he went on to obtain his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Goldberger completed a general surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania. At the University of California, San Diego, he completed two years of general surgery residency as well as a diagnostic radiology residency. He received his fellowship training in gastrointestinal radiology at UCSD, where he holds the position of Clinical Professor of Radiology. For 2005, Dr. Goldberger was chosen by his peers as one of San Diego's Best Doctors.

Dr. Gurney

Dr. Gurney 1  Jonathan Gurney, M.D.

Dr. Gurney is board certified with the American Board of Radiology and joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2002. Dr. Gurney received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.D. from the University of Michigan. He completed his internship in Portland, Oregon, at Legacy Emanuel Hospital. Dr. Gurney completed a radiology residency at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and a fellowship in body imaging at the University of Wisconsin. Before joining SDI, Dr. Gurney was in private practice in Arizona. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Computed Tomography for Kaiser Permanente, San Diego, in addition to an assignment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology for UCSD.

Dr. Hauschildt

Dr. Hauschildt 1  John P. Hauschildt, M.D.

Dr. Hauschildt is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. He joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2001. Prior to that time, he was with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Dr. Hauschildt's areas of expertise include pediatric radiology and cross sectional imaging, CT scan, magnetic resonance image, and ultrassound. Dr. Hauschildt earned his bachelor's degree in biochemistry and his medical docorate while attending the University of California, Davis, and went on to Kaiser Hospital, Santa Clara, to complete his internship in internal medicine. During his residency at UCSD Medical Center, Dr. Hauschildt was selected as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship training in body imaging while he was at UCSD.

Dr. Khanna

Dr. Khanna  Dr. Paritosh Khanna

Dr. Khanna joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2012. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology with added qualifications in Pediatric Radiology and Neuroradiology.

His educational background includes a medical degree, internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency from the University of Bombay, where he graduated with distinction. He then went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Children's National Medical Center/George Washington University and a second year of fellowship in Neuroradiology at Seattle Children's Hospital/University of Washington, where he also served as attending radiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology for five years. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at UC San Diego. His areas of professional interest include various aspects of pediatric neuroradiology, craniofacial imaging and MRI. He is active in education and research and is widely published in pediatric neuroimaging. He has been invited to speak at local, regional, national and international meetings.

Dr. Kortman

Dr. Kortman 1  Keith E. Kortman, M.D.

Dr. Kortman received his undergraduate degree from Point Loma College and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Kortman completed his internship and residency in radiology at UCSD. He went on to complete fellowship training in neuroradiology at UCSD and an additional fellowship in MRI at Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena, California. Dr. Kortman is a board certified radiologist and his subspecialties include neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and pain treatment. He is the head of San Diego Imaging's Spine Center in Kearny Mesa, and is regularly invited to speak at major radiology meetings about his special expertise and extensive experience in the development of innovative methods of pain treatment.

Dr. Kruk

Dr. Kruk 1  Peter G. Kruk, M.D.

Dr. Kruk joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2006. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology with the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Kruk earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He completed his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Following medical school he completed an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and then a residency in radiology at Emory University in Atlanta. He completed his fellowship training in pediatric radiology at Children's Hospital Boston.

Dr. Lyon

Dr. Lyon 1  James W. Lyon, M.D.

Dr. Lyon joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 1995. He was a member of Bay Radiology Medical Group, providing professional radiology services to the Chula Vista and Coronado areas since 1983. Dr. Lyon completed his bachelor's and medical degrees at Indiana University. At the University of California, San Diego, he completed his internship, diagnostic radiology residency, and fellowship in angiography and interventional radiology. He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology and has added qualifications in vascular and interventional radiology. In 2004 and 2005 he was chosen by his peers as one of San Diego's Best Doctors.

Dr. Naheedy

Dr. Naheedy 1  John H. Naheedy, M.D.

Dr. Naheedy joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2011. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology, with added qualifications in Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Naheedy received his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. He completed his medical degree at Ohio State University, College of Medicine. He completed in internship for Internal Medicine at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dr. Naheedy completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Following his residency at UCSD, he received his fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology at Harvard University Children's Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Nichols

Dr. Nichols 1  Clinton R. Nichols, M.D.

Dr. Nichols is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. His area of expertise is interventional radiology. He has a special interest in minimally invasive therapy of liver malignancies and endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins. Currently he provides professional services at Sharp Memorial Hospital and Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. He completed his bachelor's degree at the University of California, Irvine, and then went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Nichols' postgraduate education and training included an internship with the University of Hawaii and diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of California, San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident. His interventional radiology fellowship was completed at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Olsen

Dr. Olsen 1  Walter L. Olsen, M.D.

Dr. Olsen is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology and is certified with added qualifications in neuroradiology, vascular, and interventional radiology. These are the highest qualifications in these areas of professional subspecialization. As a member of Bay Radiology, he provided professional radiology services to the Chula Vista and Coronado areas. Dr. Olsen is currently the Chief of Radiology at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. A graduate of Colgate University, Dr. Olsen attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine, earning his medical degree in 1981. He completed his internship at the University of California, San Diego, before heading to Boston University Medical Center to complete his residency in diagnostic radiology. Dr. Olsen completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of California, San Francisco, and was on the Radiology Faculty at UCSF for two years before moving to San Diego. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. In 2004 and 2005, Dr. Olsen was chosen by his peers as one of San Diego's Best Doctors.

Dr. Pondrom

Dr. Pondrom 1  Julie Pondrom, M.D.

Dr. Pondrom joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2007. She is Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Pondrom's areas of expertise include body imaging and women's imaging. Dr. Pondrom attended Stanford University where she received a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology. She continued her education at the University of California in San Diego where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Pondrom completed both her residency in radiology and her fellowship in Body Imaging at the University of Southern California. During her Residency, Dr. Pondrom was published for her work in MRI Evaluation of Breast Malignancy and MRI Guided Breast Biopsy.

Dr. Prager

Dr. Prager 1  Robert J. Prager, M.D.

Dr. Prager, board certified in diagnostic radiology with the American Board of Radiology, specializes in neuroradiology. He was on staff at Tufts - New England Medical Center before joining San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 1982. Dr. Prager completed his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College and continued at Dartmouth Medical School to earn a BMS. Dr. Prager then completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. At the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Prager completed both his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in neuroradiology.

Dr. Puckett

Dr. Puckett 1  Michael L. Puckett, M.D.

Dr. Puckett is a board certified radiologist. He completed his undergraduate degree at California State University in Chico, California, and his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Puckett completed both his residency training and a body imaging fellowship at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD). Captain Puckett, USNR, recently completed 16 years of active duty service, where he most recently served as Program Director for the Radiology Residency and as Assistant Director of Ancillary Services at NMCSD. Dr. Puckett has been published in many medical journals and is a frequent invited speaker at medical conferences. He is widely known for his expertise in virtual colonoscopy and was one of the leading authors of the landmark virtual colonoscopy article in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Puckett is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego, and an Assistant Professor of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine for the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Schiffman

Dr. Schiffman 1  Howard R. Schiffman, M.D.

Dr. Schiffman is the Medical Director for the Imaging Center in Chula Vista and provides professional radiology services in the South Bay area and is also on staff at Sharp Memorial Hospital and Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center. Dr. Schiffman was the past Chief of Radiology at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. Dr. Schiffman's education includes a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.D. from the University of Maryland. He completed residencies in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital as well as in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Schiffman went on to complete his fellowship training in ultrasonography, computed tomography, and interventional radiology at UCSD. Dr. Schiffman is board certified both in diagnostic radiology and internal medicine.

Dr. Sebrechts

Dr. Sebrechts 1  Christopher P. Sebrechts, M.D.

Dr. Sebrechts has professional subspecialty expertise in musculoskeletal radiology and nuclear medicine imaging. He completed his bachelor's degree at Georgetown University and his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Dr. Sebrechts spent one year in surgical training at the University of Califronia, Irvine. He returned to UCSD and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in nuclear medicine imaging. He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology with special competency in nuclear radiology. Dr. Sebrechts is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He serves as both the Chairman of Radiation Safety and Chairman of Radiology Film Review at Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Senac

Dr. Senac 1  Melvin O. Senac, M.D.

Dr.Senac serves as the Chief of Radiology and Medical Director at Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center, San Diego. Dr. Senac is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and has received awards for his teaching of radiology residents. He has been widely published and is an invited lecturer in the field of pediatric radiology. Dr. Senac completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Loma Linda University. He continued at Loma Linda University Medical Center for his internship and radiology residency. Dr. Senac completed his pediatric radiology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He is board certified with the American Board of Radiology and certified with added qualifications in pediatric radiology. Dr. Senac serves on the Medical Executive Board at Children's Hospital and Health Center, San Diego.

Dr. Sigeti

Dr. Sigeti 1  Joel Sigeti, M.D.

Dr. Sigetti is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. His area of subspecialty includes abdominal imaging and computed tomography. Dr. Sigeti completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington and he received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. After his internship at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego, Dr. Sigeti completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis, Missouri. This was followed by fellowship training in abdominal imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Sigeti is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSD School of Medicine.

Dr. Vinocur

Dr. Vinocur  Dr. Daniel N. Vinocur

Dr. Vinocur joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2011.  He is Board Certified with the American Board of Radiology with added qualifications in Pediatric Radiology. 

His educational background includes a medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires where he graduated with honors.  Subsequently, he spent 2 years in Brain Imaging research at the Nueroscience Department at NYSPI/Columbia University.  He completed an internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine/VA and a diagnostic radiology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  Dr. Vinocur went on to complete his fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.   Finally, he completed a second fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in combined Pediatric Nueroradiology and Pediatric Muskuloskeletal Radiology. 

Dr. Woo

Dr. Woo 1  Victor Woo, M.D.

Dr. Woo is board certified with the American Board of Radiology. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College. At Temple University Hospital, Dr. Woo completed both his internship and residency in diagnostic radiology. He completed a fellowship in ultrasonography at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine where he continues as an Assistant Clinical Professor.

Dr. Yacullo

Dr. Yacullo 1  Robert C. Yacullo, M.D.

Dr. Yacullo, board certified with the American Board of Radiology, joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 1999. Prior to that, Dr. Yacullo was the Chief of Radiology at UCSD/Thornton Hospital in La Jolla, California. He completed his bachelor's degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and stayed on at Duke for his medical degree. At Baylor University Medical Center, Dr. Yacullo completed both his internship and radiology residency and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Yacullo completed his fellowship in ultrasonography and body imaging at the University of California, San Diego. He is currently Chief of Radiology at Sharp Coronado Hospital.

Safety Of MRI Contrast

The contrast agents we use at SCMRI are all FDA approved. The FDA's position is that there is 'no evidence...that gadolinium is harmful' and is not placing restrictions on its use at this time. MRI contrast has been used for thirty years in our industry and has a very good safety record.
